Thoughtful, balanced piece by @jongertner on one potential ice sheet stabilization strategy. Other strategies also worthy of accelerated research; pursuing inquiry has huge benefit of helping us better understand fundamental dynamics of these systems

Global GDP growth = biggest thing folks overlook in considering whether world will bear the cost of multi-gigaton-scale CDR by mid-century. An (e.g.) $1T CDR bill would've been ~3% of world GDP in 2000; would be just over 1% today; likely to be <0.5% by mid-century. Huge diff.

A collective mindset of learning-by-doing and transparency is the fastest way forward for ERW. It's what @JigarShahDC calls “deployment-led innovation": the very act of deploying at growing scales is what drives the most important learning.
