How should we speak of 'recovery' post-pandemic? This study of domestic workers in Jaipur argues: estimations of recovery must consider savings, debt, changes in employment dynamics, and the bargaining capacities of workers.

To early career researchers and practitioners who feel like there are right answers out there that one only has to find out --. questions matter as much, .frameworks are more important than answers and ideologies, .knowledge is political.

The Q&A highlights from the panel: How do we balance systemic reform with immediate needs? What new solidarities can we build with ‘care’ as a framework? Is ‘care’ becoming all-encompassing and losing meaning? We’ll be sharing more insights from Day 1 of #IndianCareDebates2025

New translations of Domenico Losurdo are excellent. It'll be uncomfortable for many like me who grew up with a certain narrative of what ideas and actions are worth pursuing if you're moved by Marxist/Leftist ideals. It has been a friend to validate the shift in my perspective.

Guess this observation has moved from the independent channels, who have been observing these shifts for a while, to academic journals coming from the West. Beautiful day <3.

rant/ it is unacceptable that an average researcher working on questions of society and economy is not trained and is not expected to become moderately familiar with a wider range of methodologies and deeper use of logic to draw knowledge from information. this is not accidental.

rant/ getting published or having university position is not a sign of inevitable genius or expertise - no one should forget it, and no one should be arm twisted into believing it. one has to do the work every time to assess the value of an argument - there is no short cut.
