Thrilled that my Ph.D. work is now published! In this study we delve into the world of monogamous prairie voles to provide insights into the neural plasticity that underlies social bonding and adapting to the loss of bonds, such as the experience of grief.
Excited to share our latest work out in Current Bio led by @annefpierce . We found dopamine is required for seeking out social interaction in monogamous voles, and that a pair bonded partner elicits greater accumbal dopamine release than does a stranger.

We use brain computer interfaces in non-human primates to develop innovative therapies for neurological disorders, such as stroke. I am excited to be involved in such crucial work, and I'm looking forward to sharing more updates!.

Very excited to have this preprint out! We examined how dopamine release in the NAc of monogamous prairie voles differs when seeking and interacting with a partner or a novel vole. Thank you to @DrZoePhD for your amazing advising and thank you to @yulonglilab for providing GRABda.
We won’t be at SFN but you can see what we’ve been up to with our preprint that dropped today! @annefpierce used GrabDA (from @yulonglilab) to ask whether the opportunity to access different voles corresponds to diff in dopamine release. Spoiler! Pair bond partner > unknown vole.
