People are sending me photos of the Free Gift they received from Hobby Lobby after shopping there -- my new book The Case for Christmas! Hobby Lobby is giving away half a million free copies to customers at their stores! I'm praying God uses them to point people to Himself!

Important to remember that the Assisted Dying bill was in no one’s manifesto, had inadequate scrutiny in the commons, passed with a much reduced majority at 3rd reading, is attracting increasing opposition from experts and that Lords have the right and duty to scrutinise it well.

I wonder for how many clergy this would be a sobering, if honest epitaph: "As I look back I regret that I didn’t spend more time just alone with him; I was always busy, in my own energy, well-meaning but often powerless."
I just learned that a wonderful, godly man, whom I first got to know as a retired clergyman faithfully taking many 8am spoken Communion services, is now with the Lord. He sent me this email as I was moving out of curacy; I come back to it all the time. I thank God for him.

Since ugly speech is being normalized in some Christian circles, here is a good verse to strive for in an internet age: "to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people" (Titus 3:2).

Dear young people, Jesus is our hope. Aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less. You will then see the light of the Gospel growing every day, in you and around you.

About that rebirth thing…. “Hundreds of people have taken part in an outdoor service which saw 92 people baptised in the sea. Congregations from five churches across Bournemouth gathered next to Boscombe Pier for the event.”

Schools ban children from playing outside during heatwaves. Oh for goodness sake!! How on earth did we ever survive the 70s 80s & 90s? Not to mention the centuries before… this direction of travel is ruining the resilience of our kids. Hats & water 👍🏾

Grace grows where we stop expecting perfection. Not everyone who hurts you is “toxic.” Sometimes, they’re just human. If you ghost every person who disappoints you, you’ll end up building a prison of your own design. Yes, set boundaries. Yes, walk away from harm. But some
