Do any other comedians get hotel rooms with two beds and have what they call a “food bed” when working on the road? Or is that just me?

I love when friends send me squirrel videos and memes. 🐿️ What I’m wondering, is there a certain type of video or meme people tend to send you? Sometimes I also get cats and unicorns. But lately it’s squirrels 💜

I think AI can have a place in our industry, but it’s important to evaluate not just the intent, but the impact of its use. I’m glad it’s being discussed early. Things are going to move fast and we need to remember that for many, life is about creation and connection. #wgastrong

I’m not saying a writer needs to experience everything they write about. I’m saying they have to had experienced literally something, for me to care about it. A story written by AI is just a shell filled with mirrors and wires. It doesn’t interest me beyond the novelty of it.

Why would I care about a story written by something that’s never had to say goodbye to their dog Ketchup for the last time because the cancer had spread to her heart?

Why would I care about a story written by something that’s never accidentally burnt their own bangs off the night before their sister’s wedding?

AI stories can only ever pretend to mimic the experiences and emotions they write about. They’ve never felt embarrassed or scared, or lost their keys, or cried during a tire commercial because it reminded them of their dad….

I care about the vulnerability that goes into creation. And there is no vulnerability for AI’s. There is no pain, or fear, or risk, or love… A story written by AI is just a gathering of broken off pieces of other human’s souls, doing a calculated attempt to pass as life.

AI’s are powerful tools, and may one day function better than human brains. But our human brains are entire universes trying not to feel so alone while we spiral towards our demise. That to me has value. We need communication to survive. AI’s don’t need anything.

A movie written by an AI might be enjoyable to watch, but I don’t just want to be entertained. I want to connect with the being that is also searching for meaning and purpose. I want to watch a movie by someone that also has a ticking time bomb strapped to their consciousness.

A story absolutely loses value if it’s written by AI. AI’s don’t have to fear death, or pain or the unknown so their creations will always have a sort of emptiness to them.

The thread below contains my thoughts on why I prefer human written stories over stories and movies written by AI. I keep hearing that the only thing that should matter is if the story is *good* or not. I disagree. #wgaStrike #wgaStrong

What’s better than the show Intervention? The Show Divine Intervention: “God, we know you’re doing drugs. You created platypuses. Put the wand down.”

Be nice to jocks. They could be your manager one day. If you get a job at a movie theater.
