The vast majority of soldiers fighting against Germany, especially among the French and the Belgians, believed in the justness of their cause.
Raised on the idea that WW1 was a gruesome, unimaginable folly of pointless mass death that nearly extinguished generations of European soldiers, I never thought I'd see calls for more trench warfare. But they just won't stop.
