The fact that the “Old GOP” no longer exists is the fault of the GOP and it’s elected officials and base, who are adults with agency, and not the fault of liberals.
I see a lot of sentiment from moderate liberals lately about how they'd love for the "old GOP" to come back, and how they'd be their biggest supporters. Well... you weren't, then. And you probably wouldn't be now. And that's why that party no longer exists. It's your fault.

A significant finding. Overwhelmingly the reason *Democrats* are frustrated with the Democratic party is not they think their party is "out of touch" (8%) it's that they don't see the party fighting hard enough against Trump (41%).
Asked the main reason for their frustration, the dominant response of frustrated Democrats (41%) is that the party has not pushed back hard enough against the Trump administration. (Survey conducted pre-shutdown)
