Coral growth is very much hypnotic 🤩. This is a sequence of CT scans of a Diploastrea coral core from Fiji, depicting the vertical growth of this colony. Get Brownie Points🏅 if you can pinpoint the stress event in the video!

@ana_sampe talked about results from her PhD working on coral reconstructions from Fiji and how growth in turbid reefs are important to understand in more depth when reconstructing climate variables. She used laser ablation, which definitely works just like in her video here! 🪸
