Excited to share our new paper in Vaccine! We surveyed US adults on #mpox Clade Ib awareness, attitudes, and #vaccine intent. Findings: 58% would vaccinate if recommended—up from 2022—but gaps in knowledge and trust remain. Thanks to brilliant coauthors @amynmalik @saadomer3

Are pan-TB treatment regimens likely to drive the emergence of novel drug resistance? We investigated, in a new paper here https://t.co/XkFr0o1sMv with @emilyakendall @NickMenzies2 @richardwhite321 @ted_h_cohen @rycktessman @LSHTM @LSHTM_TB @cmmid_lshtm @lshtm_tbmod

Household contacts of not tested patients are not contact traced resulting in missed opportunities for early diagnosis & transmission prevention. Expanding contact tracing strategies under such conditions can improve diagnosis. However, studies are needed to establish feasibility

However, this is what happens in programmatic settings and the aim of this work was to evaluate contact tracing strategies under programmatic conditions. Not all patients are tested in such conditions.

One criticism of the work is that not all index patients were tested microbiologically. Thus the results may be because of similar transmission by "truly' clinically diagnosed patients or because of bacteriologically positive patients misclassified as clinically diagnosed.

Most TB programs focus on a subset of household contacts for contact management leaving many contacts unscreened. We show that the yield from tracing contacts of guidelines ineligible patients is similar to guidelines eligible patients. @utswosph https://t.co/w0cTj0KNRy
