The way forward is clear: implementation science must evolve with and from LMICs. By investing in and elevating LMIC-led innovation, we not only advance the science—we strengthen the possibility of healthier, more equitable futures worldwide. @BUSPH

Unless IS is adapted and innovated for LMIC realities, we risk deepening inequities and perpetuating epistemic injustice in global health. Four takeaways: 1. Frameworks from LMICs prioritize health systems realities

Implementation science (IS) offers powerful tools to translate evidence into real-world impact—but too often, its methods and frameworks are rooted in high-income settings, where health systems and contexts look nothing like those in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Global health is at a crossroads. As global health programs are scaled back and funding grows uncertain, the stakes for ensuring effective, equitable, and sustainable implementation of evidence-informed interventions have never been higher. https://t.co/IztLCdwm7Z

Last year on my birthday I was 6 weeks post double mastectomy, awaiting radiation, scared, and anxious. Today, I had breakfast with my family, worked a full day, took my daughter to dance, sons to lacrosse, pizza dinner, watching frozen & Bluey. Perfect birthday 🥳 ☺️
