Decision issued today—we won! The Chief didn’t act in a procedurally fair way and my client gets a new hearing into her complaint about sexts she received from a cop investigating her domestic abuse concern 🎉🎉.
@neufeld_mark As a final layer of salt in her wounds, the LERB has now allowed the delay in rendering its decision to stretch three times its normal span. No one disagrees that the behaviour she experienced in Feb 2021 was wildly inappropriate. When will she see some accountability? (8/end).

if they don’t reply to your email last thing on a Friday, email them repeatedly over the weekend.

I sent @JesseBrown an unsubscribe email, never got a response. For the record, if I’m one of his 1300, what I actually said to him was, “I believe that no militia in the world is justified in killing children. I wish I felt confident that you did too.”.
According to this Reddit user, @JesseBrown sent out an email today complaining Canadaland has lost 1,300 subscribers for “documenting anti-Jew hatred.”. Now he wants money to turn accusing people of antisemitism into a “limited investigative series”.

It’s so fun to be having a baby in Alberta, where they want to limit my right to not have a baby, but if I do have one the govt encourages the general public to feel absolutely 0 responsibility to keep the baby from getting very sick with preventable diseases.
Measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, diphtheria, polio, tetanus all pose significant risks to children, especially babies under 6 months. Alberta will actively endanger the health of small children as a legitimate tradeoff against the right to imbibe disinformation.

I just want to update this and say that my admin politely asked the person I was subtweeting here for some times when he was available for a phone call so they could put it in my calendar and…he never replied.
Can we all just agree it’s bad lawyer etiquette to email another lawyer you’ve never conversed with before about something vague and urgent involving a shared client and demand they call you immediately.
