Doubly true now that PM Carney has interfered in the dispute to curtail these workers’ constitutional right to free and fair collective bargaining in favour of an employer who wants them to work for free.
You would have a hard time dismissing gender in this @AirCanada flight attendant conflict. Imagine the nerve of this mostly female workforce to demand to be paid for their work. You can only imagine the conversation happening in the C-suite right now.

Today’s action by the federal government to force Air Canada flight attendants back to work without pay is wrong. Like all workers, they deserve to be compensated for every hour on the job and to negotiate a fair contract at the bargaining table. That’s basic fairness. It is.

Mark Carney just rewarded his corporate buddies, forcing flight attendants back to work. Often, this work is not paid. It's a big gift to Air Canada and a clear message to the C-suite crew that he will always have their backs, not the backs of working Canadians. My statement
