A major review of randomized trials analyzing the role that exercise can play in combating depression: https://t.co/WCZkgQaQPK Summary: Exercise combats depression, and more exercise combats it more. The effects can be (at least) as large as pills. Please, look after yourself.

The only way ozempic/GLP-1s will have lasting efficacy is if one avoids muscle loss, which for now means fixing diet and exercise in parallel. With so few to spend, each calorie has to be used to power something useful in your body.

Keep hearing stories of people taking Ozempic and losing weight due to calorie restriction. But it’s not good calories. It’s 1000 calories of processed food. We need to be talking about lifestyle, education, nutrition, not just fixating on a cure all wonder drug.

The world would be a better place if we put more emphasis on harm prevention and less on solving problems only after they occur. This applies to climate change, human health, public safety, etc.

Good balance is a foundation for aging well. Fear of falling can lead to increased isolation and loneliness by limiting a person's social activity. We're working with @intuitionrobo to bring our balance and fitness classes to ElliQ https://t.co/pATeJa7dzR

There are so many opportunities to re-imagine our relationship to fitness and exercise at all ages. We need to use the power of movement and functional fitness to help everybody age better (and lower health costs)... for beginners as well as those with different abilities

There are precious few on-ramps to exercise in America if you’re not naturally pretty good at exercising. I wrote about why that is, and why it should change.
