Thank you so much @WTBBC for my prize photographic voucher. Bought a new field camera (old ones' video function dodgy after 10 years) and the hedgehogs are still shoving each other in my garden

#NoMowMay @EcoRecording I've been closely monitoring my front lawn which I last cut in April. Maybe it is just too dry, but apart from some flowering grasses it looks much the same this end of the month. The pollinators are all buzzing the flower borders, nothing on the lawn yet

Initially the female sitting on the eggs squawked and wriggled when the second female came along bringing more nesting material. She's been so persistent though that they now sit side by side

@WestMidBirdClub @WTBBC Curiouser and curiouser. One bluetit is sitting on 4 eggs. Another keeps bringing more nesting material into the box and then sits in it for a while, sometimes even on top of the female on the eggs. Sitter hisses and wriggles and eventually no. 2 leaves
