FanDuel sold for $465M in 2018. Founders got $0. Zero. - 10 years of 80-hour weeks. - Raised hundreds of millions. - Built a billion-dollar business. Liquidation preferences ate everything. Meanwhile, a FAANG principal engineer over that decade: $8-10M in total comp.

The success of an early-stage startup often boils down to just three questions: Team: Is this the right team for this business? Do they have any unfair advantage in this market - strong network, deep domain understanding, or unique execution capability? TAM (Total Addressable

It's actually the opposite. Insurance companies bulk-negotiate the rates from Hospitals and get a better rate. For the same treatment, if you pay from your own pocket, you'll pay more because for the hospital, you're not a "bulk buyer". Have verified this multiple times at

Humans were never made to be like this. For the majority of human history, people slept after dark and woke up at sunrise. Our body has evolved for thousands of years to adapt to this. Changing this is surely not a good idea.

In all honesty - risk adjusted, you'll likely make more money being employed at a stable company, than being an entrepreneur.

I've taken a contrarian approach - "Being honest and truthful". It saves everyone's time. Instead of overselling our company or Product, in any conversation, I truthfully share what's working, what isn't, areas where we are strong at and areas where we need improvement. And

Go to founder events. - Everyone's pitching. - Everyone's networking. - Everyone's 'building something big.' I leave exhausted. Realized: I don't actually like most founders. I like the 5% who are honest about struggling. The rest feel like performance art.

I actually hired a Home Manager who is a full-time person who takes care of everything from food planning, wardrobes, repairs, maintenance, Groceries, laundry, etc. Basically, she manages all the house help and service providers and frees up our time. We needed this because

There’s a huge opportunity in solving this problem: The friction of home ownership vs. renting. When you rent, you have a single point-of-contact for all problems. When you own, you have to somehow stay on top of the long list of recurring and one-off maintenance things. I’d

This is so true. In my previous company, a team member had resigned. It was his first job with us and so, he hadn't experienced outside culture. He had accepted the offer from another company. During the notice period, he went to their office to see how's it like to work there.

To appreciate good culture in an organisation, one has to experience what bad culture is… yes, that’s bit unfortunate. When one turns wise, he or she will choose better culture at work over everything else. If you are looking forward to your work day tomorrow, spending time

Things founders think they need to build a great business: - Investors - Awards - Hackathons - Forbes 30U30 Things founders actually need to build a great business: - Customers - Talent Everything else is noise until these two are in place. Founders often chase visibility

I'd say the opposite - everyone is a builder these days, but very few of them are founders. With vibe coding, it's easier than before to build something. But it is pretty hard to build something which people will pay for. And it's even harder to build a proper business around
