The saddest part about living in your late 30s / mid 40s is seeing legends & people that inspired, shaped up or touched your lives, made you laugh or cry go away. Be it people from business, musicians, artists, actors or sports.

@ku1deep @Rishhari SEO is no longer a part of marketing. That era is over. It's reverse engineering your product market fit. Search queries are basically insights into what customer needs. Product/engineers/founders need to own it. Outsourcing can get you traffic but in-house gets you revenue

After all struggles, ups & downs that one would witness in their life, at the end only 3 things matter. 1. Having a family that stands with you 2. Not many, just 4-5 close friends 3. Having enough cash in the bank for a rainy day If this is what life is all about.., why can't

Startup investing is a game - where VCs make most money and in most cases founders & teams get next to nothing. Founders should - stay away from VC playbook. Wins are jackpot for investors, not entrepreneurs. Raise as little as you can, from good investors, on terms that work

I have a friend that sold his startup for $55M after building it for 9 years. When he announced it he got celebrated on the internet. He made $2M from the deal, and his team basically made nothing. $2M nothing to sneeze at but… that’s ~$200k a year for a decade of stress,

Fancy startup and vc plays are over glamourised. There is nothing wrong in building a boring and non-vc that makes real net > 1 Cr per year. Need more ideas like them to follow. Enjoy life and thank me later ☺️

At 40, my reason to start a company was… I’m too practical and straight-forward to put up a happy face everyday and do random stakeholder management in a job. I prefer to do work, build and talk less.., vs talk about work, struggle to drive consensus or use management jargons

Do not start a company if you're primarily driven by: - Making money - Getting famous - Doing better than others - Calling yourself CEO/founder Only do it if you're crazy enough to do whatever it takes to solve a problem you deeply care about

I use to wonder why such simple MTM based exits are not offered by brokers, thought of creating a chrome extension to monitor Open Positions and exit based on pre determined level. Glad that Dhan is making note of such tiny problems and coming up with a solution. Good work 👌

Bangalore (startup) ecosystem values 'Founder' tag more, while.. Bombay (business) ecosystem values 'Promoter' tag more. At the end, all roads lead to Mumbai :-)

Founders taking their startups public via IPO, remember this thing... creating wealth & making money for retail investors is more important than making money for private investors. If you are able to do that, public market investors may end up being permanent long-term

To appreciate good culture in an organisation, one has to experience what bad culture is… yes, that’s bit unfortunate. When one turns wise, he or she will choose better culture at work over everything else. If you are looking forward to your work day tomorrow, spending time
