@RepBonamici @HouseScience @IPCC_CH When you are happy that @HouseScience can have meaningful hearings with qualified witnesses representing the scientific consensus on climate, but then you think about how much time we wasted and how much we have to do.

We got to celebrate our victory two years ago but today we’ll be cheering on the #altgov fam like…
Tomorrow's #Inauguration is a celebration of that. It's a celebration of us and of hope. Justice and action will follow. But for now- I love you all, #resistance family and #altgov.

… and @RepMoBrooks too, sensing a theme here… https://t.co/84z9TTcLj9
A few months ago, I reported that @RepMoBrooks claimed rocks falling into the ocean contributed to sea level rise. This week, he called me a "science denier." https://t.co/wj1SxkugHB

A long, long time ago we knew @RepAndyBiggsAZ was terrible…
Last night @RepAndyBiggsAZ was met with jeers when he expressed doubt about climate change at his #AZ05 town hall. https://t.co/tCKN9pyS2z

“As you can see, almost all…” Actually like <5%. “Who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?”
This was the originally projected path of the Hurricane in its early stages. As you can see, almost all models predicted it to go through Florida also hitting Georgia and Alabama. I accept the Fake News apologies!

@RogueNASA If what you are asking for is always less than what gets funded, it shouldn't count as proposing increased funding. https://t.co/EQ2CgO1fRR

Elections matter. Remember this. Having the majority allows the @HouseScience Committee to effectively represent the consensus of scientists and also the nuances of our fields in hearing witnesses, as opposed to a lone witness in a sea of obfuscation. https://t.co/FnHVcwFtgt

We've come a long way from the House Science chair questioning the objectivity of @ScienceMagazine… https://t.co/JfXDbVZp9z
"That is not known as an objective writer or magazine" @LamarSmithTX21 "…Well it's Science magazine" @MichaelMann

All witnesses have doctorates, 3 of the 5 are women, and all accept that climate change is occurring, the primary driver is greenhouse gas emissions, and we should do something about it. Even the minority witness is trying to convince his GOP colleagues: https://t.co/f3Q64tRL57

Compare to the House Science hearing on climate two years ago under former Rep. Lamar Smith that favored witnesses questioning the finding of humans being the primary cause of climate change. Today we have 100% of witnesses not questioning that finding. https://t.co/riJjcZCz6N
House Science hearing will feature researchers who reject 97% scientific consensus that climate change is primarily due to human activity.

Today: The House Science Committee (now with more science!) examines "The State of Climate Science and Why it Matters." Watch live via the link below.
This past year we learned from numerous reports that #climateaction is necessary now more than ever. We must work to mitigate and solve this growing threat. watch live: https://t.co/ifMSHGtMlZ

Dr. John Christy is favored by former House Science chair Lamar Smith and has often testified at hearings alongside the other familiar faces of anthro-global-warming deniers. He has also used problematic figures, some of which are discussed in detail here: https://t.co/96oMrVvlZv

Surprise, surprise. Dr. John Christy is back in the spotlight again.
U.S. EPA [former coal industry lobbyist Andrew Wheeler] taps climate skeptic [John Christy] for science advisory panel. https://t.co/QYheGVWPtX The Trump regime appoints people who do not believe in the mission of their agencies.

The Pentagon’s woke but we still can’t take measurements. #nonessential
The #GovernmentShutdown has reached Earth’s melting poles. IceBridge, a decadelong NASA campaign meant to secure a seamless record of ice loss, has had to sacrifice at least half of what was supposed to be its final spring deployment. @NewsfromScience

But where will we go for the latest climate change denying op-ed? …just kidding! We know @HouseScienceGOP and @RepAndyBiggsAZ will be more than happy to supply.

We could not be more excited about @RepEBJ chairing the House Science Committee. May peer reviewed publications flow like a river through this Twitter account, flooding over the trickle of flawed editorials from the previous administration.
Congratulations @RepEBJ for being elected to serve as the thirteenth Chair of the Science Committee! Take a look at Chairwoman Johnson's statement: https://t.co/UrL8MH2Fx6
