It is a good idea to give the minority leader more rights. It is absurd how McConnell blocked bills & protected his colleagues from openly voting down popular bills. Or that in 2016-17 there were no investigations of Trump. Let's do this in a bill that goes into effect in 2025.

Excellent & timely tweet. A number I like to highlight to put "negative emissions" in perspective: Based on @IPCC_CH SR15 scenarios ( https://t.co/58JliwdGNT), we are speaking here of at most 10% of present-day CO2 emissions. Only solution for the remaining 90% is going to zero.
Tl;dr on negative emissions: 🔬 Scientists say we “need” them because every bit of warming avoided matters. 🛑 This is not an excuse to delay cutting actual emissions as fast as possible. 🌲Trees are great, but have limits, risks, & drawbacks. 🏭 BECCS, DACC, etc:👇🏻
