Thank you for putting your trust in me to run your locals all these years. Thank you for allowing me to grow so much as not only a TO, but as a person. Thank you for allowing me to be me. If you couldn't make it to RGX, we will just have to meet again elsewhere. Cheers~ ❤️🍻.

Please don't be strangers. I will try to meet you all out at locals and events when I can find the time, but please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need me. I am more than happy to teach you to run your own events, and want to continue to see the scene flourish. (11/?).

With that being said, I want to thank all of you. Every amazing person who made it worthwhile to put in what I did. Every person who chose to spend their own limited time, budget, and share their hobby with me. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much it means to me. (10/?).

I think I will still run tournaments very sparingly. I want to make them fun again for me. I want to get as much out of them as I put in again, even if that means dialing back all that I do for the community. For me this means house party events, lowkey stuff. (9/?).

I simply don't have the time nor energy to put in what I did before, and I need to take time to focus on me. My health, career, hobbies, family, etc. I dedicated so much of ME to my community, I absolutely neglected nearly every other single aspect of my life for years. (8/?).

I wouldn't trade the time I put in to make these events happen for anything, and while I still love my community, and being able to offer safe inclusive spaces for those I care about to enjoy themselves, I know now that I need to realign myself, and refocus. What's next? (7/?).

I've met nearly every single person that I love and cherish through this silly hobby. Most of my close friends are people I met running events, or attending with. Competing with. Even employers, benefactors, etc. Tournaments consumed nearly my whole being for a few years. (6/?).

I battled myself internally wondering if I had made the right choice to leave this chapter of my life behind, and move onto the next, but ultimately I found solace in knowing inevitably, eventually someone would fill in my shoes, just like I had for the pillar before me. (5/?).

I never would have expected to find so much joy and fullfillment from putting down the controller, and helping be a pillar for my local community to play in events I would have loved to have played in when I was still young. On monday after RGX, I cried for a long time. (4/?).

From a tiny party room in the back of a round table pizza during sophomore year of HS to helping make huge events like Genesis, happen, and being on teams for nearly half a dozen other majors, I never would have expected to take this little hobby so far. (3/?).

For reference, I've been running tournaments now for just over a decade. My life was irreparably changed because of my decison to run my first tournament. I was just a teen looking to play smash with my friends, and without a close local, I had to run my own. (2/?).

Been just over a week since I ran my last big event, and wanted to take a little bit to mull over my emotions and thoughts before posting anything. This is going to be a fairly long one, so bear with me. This is my official notice of retirement. (1/?).
