At Tuesday's Council meeting, Finance Director Munch gave a quick overview of the new eBill Portal for utility bills, which went live at the beginning of this month.

What does this mean? According to legal, the petitioner could return to PZC with a new proposal. Will they? Hard to say. Based on last night’s comments, it’s fair to question whether the petitioner would want to go through this again. For now, the data center is not approved.

Last night's meeting adjourned at 10:45p, after Council denied approval for the data center. Vote was 6-1 with Wehrli & Wilson abstaining because they preferred to table it until the February 17 meeting. McBroom was the sole vote in favor, aligning with the PZC recommendation.

Only one proposal on Wednesday’s PZC agenda, rezoning the property at the NE corner of Mill/Jackson from OCI to R5. The developer plans a 4-story building with 6 condo units. No variances needed, as it complies with parking (14 underground spaces), height (50 ft), & setbacks.

8. DATA CENTER - approve conditional use under ORI and variances for parking and equipment screening. Passed PZC 8-1. 9. Water main improvements - lots of big-ticket bids for 2026 projects. (Wow- the bid for Ogden Phase II was 63% higher than estimates!)
