Sunday schedules will be in effect on the Metra Electric Line for two July weekends (July 19-20 and July 26-27) and the line will partially shutdown for the second weekend, due to extensive construction with the South Shore Line’s expansion plans.

Craig decided to celebrate the end of his 40-year career with a "last train home," honoring the commuting routine that was so integral to his work week. His family secretly organized to meet him at the station and join him on this special commute.

Craig worked nearly his entire career as an attorney in downtown Chicago. Even as he and his wife raised their four children, became grandparents, and moved about in the Chicago suburbs, one thing remained the same: a reliance on Metra to get him safely to and from his office.

This past Monday, June 30th, a decades-long Metra rider celebrated his retirement with a very special ride home. 🎉
