This was the RIC plaque that hung over the door of the RIC Barrack’s on Tullow Street, Carlow Town, during the late 19th and early 20th century. It was replaced in the 1920’s by the An Garda Siochana plaque, also on display in the Museum. Both were donated in 1973 by @gardainfo

Tullow Street is a sad sight . I talked to a business man recently who wanted to move to Tullow Street but the rates were astronomical. Meanwhile a TD has an office on it and the street nearly empty .
