UPDATE: Spain / Portugal blackout. Spanish grid operators says it has restored 99% of the power. Still, silence about the causes of the worst blackout in living memory in Europe, which affected > 55 million people across mostly two countries and lasted more than half-a-day.

Great to see some debate around the recent work we’ve done on nuclear. I wanted to directly address some of the comments in @jackwiseman_ 's thread and go a little deeper on our thinking. (warning: significantly less punchy thread than @alanchanguk's incoming)
This is an important thread on the headwinds to nuclear from one of the UK's most promising energy startups. There are some points where I think if you frame things differently, you get a different conclusion; and after that, almost all of the issues cited are downstream of
