I am aware of the whole what have you done for me lately concept. But it’s crazy how many of these G5 takes are about maybe making one day better — or one GAME better — without acknowledging that a good playoff system should make the whole SEASON better. At least to me.

I picked Bud's post to jump off of because Bud is one of the sharpest people in our field, not someone making it up as he goes. But I think whether JMU had a chance to win (they didn't) sidesteps by far the best reason to have G5 access to the Playoff
Respectful disagreement w our friend @BudElliott3 Group of 5 teams making the Playoff is great, because it makes the whole season more meaningful for dozens of teams
