Going to my wife’s HS reunion tonight, and after I plan to watch my favorite movie about a HS reunion.

Twin M, age 3: I don’t want to be seen by the sun! It makes me too hot. “Seen by the sun”, I don’t know if I’ve ever heard it put that way. It’s funny to experience how kid’s brains work.

I need this energy from more bands. Especially because it also most likely means I drove 2.5 hours to go to the show, and either had to get a hotel room or make the 2.5-hour drive back after the show!.

One of my daughters has recently gotten into Dolly, and 90s county. The other has gotten into 2010s to now female fronted punk. If you had asked me a year ago which girl was listening to what, I would have gotten it wrong. Kids are a wild ride.

I am straight up horrifyingly incompetent at Halo like 90 to 95% of the time, but then randomly I turn into John Wick the remaining amount of the time, and I have zero explanation for it. And it’s not just Halo, it’s any shooter game.

I once had a job interview where 2/3 of the committee wanted to hire me, but the last person didn’t. The hold out claimed I was brash and cocky, but in reality she just wanted the job to go to a friend of hers. I got the job. Anyway, that’s how I met my now wife.

I watched all three LOTR movies and the three Hobbit movies on my way to and from Singapore. Solid way to spend that time.

I absolutely love when my wife sits at our kitchen table, telling me about her day while I cook dinner. Plus, she’s a terrible cook (but an excellent baker). So this arrangement is ideal for us.

One of the twins has taken to calling their daycare provider “Different Mom” instead of her name. Which is funny, and a bit weird. My mind immediately went to Coraline.

My favorite “American mistaken for being from somewhere else” story comes from a friend of mine. He’s from North Dakota, and was in Canada, when then Prime Minister Harper came up to him randomly and says “I heard you talking, Manitoba?”. I randomly give him grief about it.

Fun thing about the American quote is that I have been mistaken for being from multiple other countries when traveling internationally. 🇨🇦x3.🇬🇧x2.🇮🇪x1.🇩🇪x1 (admittedly, I was speaking German).
