Hello size coding fans. Today, I have something amazing to share: A tiny raycasting engine and city generator that fits in a standalone 256 byte html file. In this post I will share all the secrets…
A City in a Bottle 🌆 <canvas style=width:99% id=c onclick=setInterval('for(c.width=w=99,++t,i=6e3;i--;c.getContext`2d`.fillRect(i%w,i/w|0,1-d*Z/w+s,1))for(a=i%w/50-1,s=b=1-i/4e3,X=t,Y=Z=d=1;++Z<w&(Y<6-(32<Z&27<X%w&&X/9^Z/8)*8%46||d|(s=(X&Y&Z)%3/Z,a=b=1,d=Z/w));Y-=b)X+=a',t=9)>

This crocodiles was drawn by me about 30 years ago. This time, https://t.co/PzNP1125Lj includes three of my works including the crocodiles from that time. Through carefully animated visualizations, you will be able to relive the symmetry on which this work was based.

😅 is anyone else getting sick of chatbots? I wrote down a few thoughts on why chatbots are not the future of interfaces and how we can be more thoughtful: https://t.co/zOxRoaoEvA

Mystical witchcraft! This palette generator eschews conventional color science to anchor choices in polar coordinates. Captivating site & fun to use

I made https://t.co/I0YSkt5x0R a while ago: a 5kB globe lib, and it improved our page performance* by almost 60%. How is it created? Time for a WebGL & shader thread!

I've learnt about logistic regression and decided to implement it as an interactive online tool: https://t.co/UDr8DgHlVu. You can add points, move them around, and change the regression order!

TIL that Error objects in #JavaScript will leak closures until you read `stack`. So don't keep them around. In other words, everything in the closure at the point `new Error` was called, will stick around for as long as you have a reference to the error until you read `stack`.

Message for @mrdoob 10 years ago: Yes, making a 3D engine using canvas2d is stupid. But in 10 years you'll watch a simulation in realtime of @NASA landing a rover in Mars that uses that stupid code. https://t.co/voH7KnbKBq

It’s been ten years since I pushed the first release of D3.js to GitHub. Have I learned anything? I hope so… but it’s a journey.

In honor of D3 1.0’s tin anniversary, I thought I’d reflect on lessons learned. This isn’t intended to be too comprehensive or serious — just a handful of observations as I look ahead to the next ten...

We're hiring a backend engineer at @projector! I would love it if you could share this to get more exposure outside my direct network and help us build a larger and more diverse candidate pool. https://t.co/pwuzkq3D3d
