I finished my first oil painting in 25 years. I don't generally post identifiable images of family, but this was special. My mom and dad. My mom is very sick and doesn't have a ton of time left, and I wanted to make sure she finally got a painting from me (I went through art

Apparently, during my time at Netflix, the company itself grew rather attached to me. 🤣

Observables would be a cool addition to the web platform Here's an example of drag & drop implementation from @dannymoerkerke 's Modern Web Weekly newsletter, that already works in Chrome/Safari More expressive than addEventListener/removeEventListener 👌

I greatly appreciate the folks who have reached out about my job situation. I’m sitting bedside with my mom. This is a quiet, quiet place. I’m with her until the end. I won’t be interviewing or taking calls during this time. DMs or emails are fine. Just not my focus. For the

This has been one of the toughest years I’ve ever lived. I lost a close friend without warning, and now—on the same week I’m being laid off—I’m at my mom’s bedside as she goes through her final days with cancer. Hug your loved ones.

I have been working on internal AI chat clients for the past few months. Honestly, this is some of the more fun work I’ve done in a while. I’m very glad I kept up on how to do streaming on the frontend for sure. 😅

This is probably the best developer screwup I’ve read in a while. Imagine sitting in your house and all of a sudden your 3D printer starts printing something that you never asked to print. 😂

There’s going to be a day in the not so distant future where you literally build a web app by providing some small static configuration and a prompt. Not even “no code”. I literally mean “no designers, no programmers, no project managers, no database administrators, no DevOps”

nobody has framed Charlie Kirk assassination as what it really is: Extremist on extremist violence. If you “hate a party“.. you and everyone like you, right or left, brought us to where we are. You got Trump elected. You caused those Minnesota politicians to be assassinated.

🥳 CSS functions have arrived!!! 🥳 And they are *AWESOME* Now, you can do things like this: @function --alpha(--color, --opacity) { result: rgb(from var(--color) r g b / var(--opacity)); } div { background: --alpha(red, 80%); } (*arrived = in the latest stable Chrome)

Hey you. Yes you. Right there. Your company is probably not big enough to justify that crazy distributed GraphQL thing you're working on.

Look on the bright side, your coworkers don’t write shitty code anymore. It’s all Copilot and Cursor now.

Cursor AI tells me I’m “absolutely right” an awful lot. 😂 It’s like working with an over-zealous junior developer that types really fast.
