Are we witnessing the death of the pre-teen? My latest for
@TeenVogue
i asked tweens, teens, retail owners and fashion analysts about the evolution of tween fashion and the current homogenous movement were seeing.
It’s so interesting seeing the conversation around Keke Palmer having her breakout or superstar moment and it’s wild we live in different worlds because in my household Keke been a star for forever Akeelah & The Bee was my dad’s favorite movie it went triple platinum in my home.
Bella Hadid is the most powerful dresser and her style is always a topic of discussion. I decided to put my favorite looks of hers to the test and try to find some plus-size alternatives 🫡 my latest for
@TeenVogue
Y’all got one more tweet to say Francia isn’t in the industry 🤨 I’m not here for the beef but y’all not gonna discredit the work my sister been putting in for years. She’s THAT GIRL
Being so new into adulting and workplace navigation it’s so insane how everyone has just normalized passive aggressive behavior and labeled it as being professional and I’m just supposed to go along with it 🤨
@TheGreatIsNate
@herpendope
I was fully convinced they were a duo… I was listening to the playlist that had each song back to back like so embarrassing
Kanye IS a bad person. if anything it is his fault her entire brand evolution revolved around this moment. A ~Black man~ harmed a sweet white all American young woman and the world has infantilized her ever since. “she must be protected and can do no wrong”
20 years ago today “That’s So Raven” premiered on Disney Channel. For
@TeenVogue
, I spoke to one of the original costume designers from the series about the lasting impact of Raven Baxter’s fashion sense 🫶🏾
being a nepotism baby would excite me, endless freedom to try & fail at absolutely everything without fear. money, connections. i would not fear the word, if anything i’d warmly embrace it. the only reason someone might hate the term is if they feel they don’t deserve the access
I think we also need to have a convo about even crediting these terrible blog pages ran by non journalists as the media. They’re not. They have no ethics, style books, research or copy teams. They’re glorified Instagram pages and shouldn’t be given any authority ever
Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, has given an update on Jamie’s condition.
“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!“
CTRL+C is back! In our third installment of the series I explored the queen of serving looks (
@Zendaya
) style sense to see if it was easily recreate-able on a plus-size body. Spoiler: it was tough! Read my latest
@TeenVogue
CTRL+C is back. This time I wanted to see if Lori Harvey’s style is easy to duplicate. I got a little candid exploring her style so I hope you’ll give it a read xx
✨Some professional news✨
So incredibly excited to say today is my first day at
@teenvogue
as their editorial assistant. I’ve always admired the impact and work Teen Vogue does and I’m grateful to now be a part of the team. Here’s to this next journey!
cannot believe men are on Beyoncé’s internet saying the British vogue cover is trying to emasculate and de-center the black man as the head of the family… babes it’s a women’s fashion magazine featuring rihanna. he was an accessory to the shoot not her life, lord
If you don’t like the original, simply don’t purchase it, but to want to buy the dupe and give money to random site instead of the original Black designer…. It’s weird lol
cop out. It’s the same mindset of “super liberal” white women dating terribly racist men and saying “we just don’t talk about politics” it’s lazy and a reflection of who you choose to hang around. silence is complicity
Rolling Stone writes Taylor Swift should not be held responsible for racist controversy surrounding Matty Healy:
“For the last 17 years, we’ve held this woman responsible for the actions of men she chooses to spend time with, and it’s time to stop.”

Journalism is so important and yet it feels so incredibly undervalued by the rich people and corporations that are so very lucky to oversee it. So many writers and reporters and creatives deserve more. This craft deserves more.
reminder: I’ve grown up fat my entire life and am in recovery from an eating disorder so anything you have to say about my fat body I’ve probably said something way worse during my teen years! 🫶🏾 but now I love myself and will respond to your dumb comment because it’s fun 🤭
Media is not a sustainable career anymore 😔 Solidarity with all those at Hearst. Great journalism cannot only be expected of burnt out understaffed employees and financially struggling freelancers. It will fail if we keep moving this way.
having parents who were big on “if you do something Saturday you not going nowhere Sunday” has destroyed me as an adult because now if I go out with friends one day of the weekend I already feel like I done did too much. Like multiple outings during the weekend I just can’t hang
spanish speaking friends, i’ve gotten really great at reading & understanding spanish. but i’m still in the habit of when someone speaks it to me i understand but respond in english. i know probably forcing myself to talk is the best way, but if there are any other tips pls share
Like what would my life be like if I hadn’t been monitored since I was like 7 about my food choices??? how much easier would life be if eating and food and portion control didn’t linger in my mind whenever i feel the need to sustain myself
“Money can’t buy happiness” well I believe a lot of young people would be happier if they didn’t have to constantly stress about money and could focus on life
I feel like misogyny got y’all in a chokehold because it be every damn day y’all sit and compare women artists to each other meanwhile the men don’t get none of this smoke it’s almost as if women are held to a completely different standard—
