Went to give an interview today and noticed something weird - Every 5-10 mins someone was going to the filter to fill their bottle and this wasn’t random, I was there for almost 3 hours and continuously this kept happening and it gave a feeling like no one was serious about work

If you want an LLM to have certain kind of behaviour or certain kind of human level “feelings”, you just need a better way to quantity it. It is currently done by RL in some ways, but not at the level it is expected to be.

Is real bottleneck just the problem of quantification ? In general, if you can quantify a problem well, you can at least perceive it in a better manner. And if we take that understanding to general NLP, not just LLMs, the problem just has to be quantified well enough.

- Had to explain most parts around ddpm. - Moved on to diffusion LLMs. - As interview progressed, I got more and more confused with the questions and fumbled in many of them. - The interview revolved mostly around these 2 topics only, but went very deep into both of them.

Wanted to share my experience giving interview for a firm based in Japan (for intern role of course) - There were 6 people to take the interview and 3 or 4 among them had PhD. - Started with basic formalities, etc. - Started to talk about diffusion.
