I’m appalled that at the end of 16 days of activism against gender-based violence
@TheSun
saw fit to publish an article by
@JeremyClarkson
promoting violence against Meghan Markle. It simplest proved every point she has made in her documentary.
The British media is so institutionally racist and misogynistic that no one stopped such hateful language being published. You think me as a Black female journalist could write such about a white man? Never.
I’m sick of the status quo. Let’s submit complaints, lobby advertisers and stop buying
@TheSun
. My final point -
@JeremyClarkson
and your ilk - you lot are unhinged.
Why have so many people got their knickers in a twist about Meghan and Harry holding hands? Zara and Mike Tindall did the same but not a word said about them. Don’t people get tired from hating other people they don’t even know? Nonsensical nonsense.
I find it astounding that even in a time of death and grief the anti-Meghan vitriol can’t take a day off. It just shows the depth and breadth of the institutionalised racism, sexism and misogyny levelled against her. Exhausting.
He’s delusional, bigoted, racist, a misogynist, a disgrace, who is obsessed with tearing down Black women. I’m not even going to mention his name. If I was his wife I would be concerned and embarrassed. What a disgusting excuse of a human.
Dr Shola absolutely did the right thing. As someone who has their name mispronounced all the time it gets really annoying. There’s nothing wrong with correcting people, especially when they persist in getting it wrong and find it funny.
No comment from Kensington Palace tonight after at least 3 international pictures agencies refuse to distribute this morning’s photo of Kate and her children. Some of them (
@AP
) have claimed “the source [the palace] has manipulated the image”.
I’m tired of seeing people ask why Sarah Everard didn’t take a cab or why she was walking home at night. The real question is why men still think they have the right to inflict violence against women.
Dear UK radio/TV producers, if you’re going to do a debate about slavery or reparations I beg you to try and get a Black person the panel, specifically a descendent of someone who was enslaved. It’s just common bloody sense.

Good morning to everyone, especially those who have a called me a liar, a grifter, a race baiter or aimed any kind of racist abuse at me for having an opinion you don’t like. Y’all have a great day now. 😊
Guys, guys, I have an idea. If I’m about to be on TV or radio talking about something you don’t agree with, instead of subjecting me to a barrage of abuse JUST DON’T WATCH IT.
This is just simply a disgrace. The fact that either of these two are still on TV dropping their poisonous bullying is beyond me. Disgusting

May the UK border officer who detained my husband for 17 hours on arrival for ‘routine checks’ never know peace. Welcome to the UK - the land of rain and racism.
@graceblakeley
The racism she faces isn’t a million miles away from the racism women of colour face every day. Same micro-aggressions, same name-calling, same side-lining. Pretty sure that’s not a great look either.
“We’re talking about an antagonist which is the British press, particularly the tabloids. who want to create as much conflict as possible and certain members of my family are complicit.”
Scathing but 100% accurate.

My mum has Parkinson’s and sometimes her speech isn’t that great, but this morning she was as clear as a bell and we had an hour of pure mum-and-daughter chat on the phone and it was bloody wonderful. 🥺❤️
This morning I had to tell my daughter England lost and then had to have another conversation with her about racism and online trolls. I am tired. Bloody sick and tired.
This is shocking to the core. The details make me think of Margaret Atwood’s quote, ‘Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.’

The video of the young Black girl being beaten up by a gang of white girls being egged on by their parents is so disturbing and heartbreaking. What’s clear is that young Black children are not safe in this country. That fact that the headteacher stood by and watched is testament

This is a great read. I quit working for a magazine in 2018 because the publisher was a complete monster - that along with the death of father did some real damage to my mental health. Sometimes quitting is great.
In 2017 I quit a job that destroyed my mental health. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I spoke to Prince Harry about his work as Chief Impact Officer at
@BetterUp
and why quitting is sometimes the right thing to do.
Five years ago today you left us Dad. I’m almost lost for words to describe how hard it continues to be. We had so many plans, and you have missed so much. My wonderful, kind, gentle, ever-present father, to know you was to love you. Continue to rest, til we meet again ️
Guilty on all three counts. Justice will be served. This is not a celebration, but a milestone on the road to proper racial justice.

There are 2 things wrong with Megan Markle & neither are to do with her skin colour - she is white.
She is a foreigner who does not understand our culture, and a divorcee which means she is difficult or a poor judge of character.
Neither is a good fit with our Royal Family.
Today’s news has been a little triggering for me I’ll be honest. Might be a bit quiet here for a while. All power to the Black women who told their story. ❤️
Thank you SO MUCH to all of you for your congratulations and well wishes. It’s been an amazing few days, we’re still working our way through your messages and we really appreciate all of them. In the meantime, the vacay continues! ❤️🤴🏾👸🏾

I woke up this morning absolutely raging and exhausted by the almost daily reminders that the lives of women and girls mean nothing. The lack of ally-ship from men has added to this rage. The women in your life are terrified and angry. Don’t you care?
