The lack of differences in ⛽️ strengthens the idea that a single most economical running technique model that everyone should pursue may not exist. Cluster-specific or greater individualisation may enhance the success of training interventions and performance 🔝.

It appears that our runners presented two similarly economical but different running patterns. These may be two strategies to keep the trunk upright depending on pelvic tilt, which may be determined by anatomical and neuromuscular control aspects to be investigated in the future.

We identified two main clusters of runners: the "neutral" and "tilted" pelvis clusters (🟠🟢 in the video). Runners in the tilted pelvis cluster exhibited:.⬆️pelvic tilt.⬆️trunk ext.⬆️hip flex.⬇️duty factor.Yet, no differences in running economy were found between groups.

Our dataset included 84 trained runners who completed a 4-min run on a treadmill at 11, 12 and 13 km/h while we collected full body kinematics to characterise running technique 🏃 and gas exchange variables to estimate running economy ⛽️.

I am so happy to share that after 5 years of work, I have finally submitted my PhD thesis. Can't thank enough my supervisors @iszio @utility_back @darione581 Xi Chen and colleagues at the ABS for their inspiration and constant support. just a few more steps to go!
