🔑🚪It’s time to escape! Check out the newest Desmos escape room! To play yourself: https://t.co/ppDVNwMmaE (no need to log in but it will save your progress if you do) Here’s the teacher link to run it with a class: https://t.co/xZ1hcHqxCe Have fun!

Welcome back for 2025 school year! My aim is to try and post more games this year, starting with In Da Club. It's really good to use as a whole class warm-up and it can be used with all year levels. Enjoy! https://t.co/V5JTNp6AbO

@teachergoals Personally, I don't want a dentist to work on my teeth who passed a "differentiated" dentistry exam. At some point, exams need to be the same minimum standard for everyone.

It was a labor of love, but I finally finished creating eight new progression videos. Once they're out, I'll get them uploaded to my site. Thanks for the nudge to get these done. https://t.co/NAoUN3Q5hX

It's time for #MathStratChat! Rules: post your favorite or a clever solution! It's also fun to comment on other's strategies. Tell us about your reasoning. Like/Retweet so others can see! #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS #ITeachMath #MathEd #Mathematics

graders as well. I try to have a conversation with students that working together in a group doesn't mean "I do one question, you do one question," but I'm sure there are better ways I can facilitate real collaboration. Thank you!

#TryThisTuesday Order of operations are all about communication! Can students figure out how to communicate what they mean? Students can enter their ideas into a calculator and make sense of the results. #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS #ITeachMath #MathEd #Mathematics

This is a great way to develop an understanding of mean as more than the sum of the number divided by the # of numbers. @nctm #iTeachMath #MTBoS #MathEd #mathisfigureoutable @pwharris

Mean? Mode? Median? These names are social knowledge. How to use them to better understand our world is logical-mathematical knowledge. It is essential to teaching real math that we understand the difference. https://t.co/dEq5tMzDsH #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS

If I've run into you in past few weeks it's likely you've heard me sing praises of @pwharris. I saw her present and I wished more teachers could have attended. Well, I just found out about her upcoming maths challenge, which I think is worth checking out https://t.co/ggjA6AU08A

Teachers decide all the time when to just tell students something and when to have students grapple with the mathematical relationships. The “key is to know when to do what”. #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS #ITeachMath #MathEd #Mathematics

Good PD is instructive to newcomers and veterans alike. Depending on where you're at on the Success Map for a topic, you're going to get different things out of our workshops than someone at a different stage. https://t.co/ZIi23JcT6M #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS

For many, someone else raising a hand first is the signal to stop thinking. We want speed, but not at the expense of learning. Private signals (raised thumb held close to the chest) give us the best of both worlds. https://t.co/dMne8z5ldi #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS

#TryThisTuesday Ask students for a private signal like a thumbs up. It's not about thumbs, it's about private. You get good information about who is ready. Other students are not distracted. Win-win. #MathIsFigureOutAble #MathChat #MTBoS #ITeachMath #MathEd #Mathematics
