Spent time with king Osman Burmadow today by visiting ISRAAC centre and various other places. Overall, it was great to meet and discuss many issues including community related matters as well as diaspora participations and engagement in various capacities.

In recent months there is a strong indication that the Trump Administration will soon recognise “Somaliland’s quest for International recognition as sovereign country” after 34 years waiting. This will undoubtedly be very good news and Somaliland will be the 55th African country.

This afternoon football match was played between Somaliland vs Congo at Steel City Stadium in Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield. The match ended in 2 - 2 draw & was well attended by Somaliland community in Sheffield. A great & successful tournament played second time in Sheffield.

ISRAAC team had a meeting in Sorby House regarding North East health programme with the Somali Community. ISRAAC team visited Somali businesses in Burngreave area. Equally, ISRAAC provided a new TV set & internet access to the Somali women community social hub in Burngreave area

ISRAAC team met Cllr Safiya Saeed, current deputy Lord Mayor last week Monday 28th April accompanied by Stephen Burke Civic Office Manager Armed Forces Staff Lead of Sheffield City Council. Overall, the meeting held was productive and constructive as part of ongoing engagement.
