Functioning Labels are problematic. “High Func” is used to deny support. “Low Func” is used to deny agency. Also, Non-Autistic Bigots try to discredit Autistic ppl’s first hand knowledge of *being* Autistic by disregarding us as “High Functioning.” . It’s pure bigotry.

Interesting thread on approximations… I’m considering a paper on a similar topic on the GNU scientific library (GSL) and its use in medical research. Many approximations in there that may not be necessary on modern hardware.
