Long term complex problems require long term solutions. Transient changes in pain (3 weeks) can be achieved in many ways given that it is more amenable to contextual influences.
Oh no. What will the manual therapy sucks crowd say now? Grade A evidence for MT AND for dry needling for short-term pain relief. Don't care what those folks say. We can argue about the mechanisms for sure, but hip OA, SCFE, etc - it helps and is a compliment to exercise.

That one picture that makes you think, โHow did I get in this shape? ๐ฅบ๐ฃโ Immediate changes required. That aside, an amazing little group of thinkers from my MLR course in South Wales a few weeks back.

Classic misrepresentation of my argument. Notice how "understanding pathomechanics" (ie. compression) just lead to pretty standard (but good) load management interventions. You could have said lets change the tensile loads and done the same intervention 1/

1. First you have to show that the proposed mechanisms play a causative role. 2. You must then show that the mechanisms reliably changes with intervention. 3. You then must show that this change mediated the outcome.
