Kam Jones paced Marquette with 15 PPG on 36% 3P (7.7 att) last year. An off ball shooter with NBA range. Can shoot of movement, relocates well, & gets to the rim. Crafty and highly skilled finisher (70%). Limits TOs and a high feel player. National spotlight should be on @csgkam

A well embedded mole in Milwaukee attended Marquette’s open practice yesterday so you didn’t have to! . There’s real buzz around the incoming freshman class. Expect them to push for minutes early. Chase Ross looked every bit like a First-Team All-Big East player @JonRothstein.
Takeaways for every player from Marquette open practice (🧵):. Chase Ross: Best player on the court by a wide margin. He looked every part of an All Big East (First Team) player. His shot is smooth as butter coming back from the wrist injury. He will be Marquette’s top guy.

Bobby Portis has shot 40% from three in five seasons with the Bucks—all while playing on team-friendly deals. One of the best bench-shooting bigs in the league, year in and year out. Even in a “down year” he shot 37% from 3P. If he’s not considered a shooter, I’m not sure who is.
@TiWindisch Gary Trent and prince, yeah youre definitely right. Malik Beasley idk cause he took less to come here and openly gamble on himself, and Bobby isn’t a shooter + hasn’t really taken less money to stay, he is fairly compensated. I don’t think the Grayson one was super low either tbh.

Really good article by Mat Issa breaking down the return of Ryan Rollins and why Cole Anthony could be a sneaky-good addition to the Milwaukee Bucks’ bench. Solid insight on two intriguing backcourt pieces. Check it out below ⬇️🦌.
Wrote about how much I love bringing back Ryan Rollins and adding Cole Anthony for the Milwaukee Bucks:.

Another 4th quarter takeover from Dooney Johnson (@thedooneywatch)— this time with a Peach Jam Final Four berth on the line. Team Herro leads 74-66 with 30 seconds left. Johnson is a 2027 Marquette target. Kager Knueppel with a big three-pointer as well.

6’3” UW-Milwaukee freshman Stevie Elam (@Stevie_Elam) dropped 48 points in last night’s Summer Pro Am win. Shot the three ball well, found the soft spots, and attacked the rim well. Averaged 25 PPG, 10 RPG, 4 APG as a First-Team All-State selection as a senior in high school.

6’8” UW-Milwaukee senior John Lovelace Jr. (@JohnLovelaceJr1) was easily the most athletic player in the gym yesterday. High-flyer with pro-level athleticism who competed hard and took the game seriously. Averaged 5 PPG, 2 RPG, and shot 37% 3P for the Panthers last season.

Some mid-major love from Logan—this time for Wisconsin native Jackson Paveletzke (@jacksonpavvv). The Ohio guard should be a preseason All-MAC pick, and I couldn’t agree more. He averaged 14 PTS, 4 REB, and 5 AST on 51.4% shooting last season. One of the MAC’s best.
Jackson Paveletzke (@jacksonpavvv) is in for a huge season and should be a shoo-in for preseason All-MAC. He's the conference's most dynamic handler and an effective shot-maker from inside 15-ft. He also passes extremely well, and ran the P&R in the 83rd percentile nationally.

Josh Manchester (@JoshManchester9) just dropped a 40-piece for Team Herro 👀🔥. The 6’4” guard out of Mount Horeb recently picked up an offer from Northern Illinois — with several Power 5s expressing interest. Coaches: get in now before it’s too late. 🔗
Insane performance from @team_herro EYBL guard JOSH MANCHESTER. Finished with 42 points in a big win for Herro. Kohnen and Knueppel played up as well. Good win .

Marquette’s newest commit Nash Walker showed out at the U18 Asia Cup — the 6’6” lefty guard went 4-4 3P in the gold medal win over New Zealand. The Aussie sniper shot 40% from three (21/53) across FIBA 2024 events with Team Australia. 🎥: @ClayAtki .

Deuce McDuffie (@mcduffie_deuce) is a 6'6" wing to know in the 2027 class. Averaged 20 PPG & 6 RPG at Rufus King. Shooting 43% 3P with Team Herro. An athletic, two-way threat who can score off the bounce. Wisconsin recently offered. Marquette, Syracuse, & Nebraska are interested.
