Without having the city financials in front of me I can’t say what increase is acceptable to bring services to a level they need to be. Anyone claims otherwise is lying. Ways to minimize costs increases are available if we were to change the way the city has been run for >30yrs
You can't. What percent increase to your property taxes is acceptable for 2025 2%, 3%, 5% or more? And what would be your top priority.

So the annual hot sauce day returned. The bags were actually fairly sweet. So the first batch is very mild. The second I added smoked chillies dried chillies and a spoon of gochujang. It has a lot more kick. And finally pickled the rest. #KitsWhoCook

It's more humane and a HUGE cost savings on tax payers to house people who are homeless rather than letting them survive on the streets ... - Prison: (provincial) -$326/day or $9,780/per month. - Shelter: - $167/day or 5000/per month. - Hospital (acute care) -$833/day or
Toronto's Dunn Street supportive housing saved $413,000 in ER costs and $1.66 million in hospital costs in 1 year. A partnership between UHN, nonprofits and government. Supportive housing is smarter, kinder and better for taxpayers compared to the ER, hospital, shelters or jail

Talk of Alberta sovereignty is rising again. It would be easy for Canadians to dismiss it as a resurgence of age-old grievances. The difference is that this time there may actually be a referendum on separation, and soon.

And as I was snacking on the little fried dough bits I decided to just pour the rest of the batter in at the end to make a savoury funnel cake kind of thing #KitsWhoCook

This chicken is so juicy, tender, and packed full of flavour. I did 3 flavour finishes. Chile, garlic, and creole to add some fusion fun

Apparently a lot of people need to hear this -- but whether it's Trump and Epstein, or the Catholic Church -- if you're defending child rapists, you're on the wrong side. https://t.co/VWJPtQLU9P

Washington state’s new law forcing clergy to report child abuse becomes a constitutional test, facing challenges from churches and the Trump admin.
