📢 Are LLMs the end goal of #AI? Can you stop 'em from hallucinating that they are? How should you prepare for the #AI doomsday? (hint: you can never hoard enough TP rolls) All this and more in a "short" in-person interview with @jaygshah22.. https://t.co/kIl5aocIwB

Many PhD students are already preparing for the AMA-style academic job market (i.e., appx 30-minute zoom interviews with the hiring dept's faculty). I've been helping our students "mock interview" recently and compiled some generic advice in this thread. Others, please weigh in.

Twitter is set to resign from the EU Code of Practice on Disinformation as early as this week, @eaTechEU has learned. Another sign that the platform might not intend to comply with the #DSA and that its exit from Europe is increasingly likely. https://t.co/A0IUvwdpoB

Are we prepared for the downsides of LLMs going mainstream? Our paper "Synthetic Lies" got honorable mention at #CHI2023🏅 We found #GPT not only failed to identify misinformation in prompts but also amplified it via hallucinated evidence, emotional appeal, & fabricated details🧵

How to write the Introduction? As a junior student, writing the introduction of a research paper is arguably the most daunting part of paper writing. 😱 Here is a simple template I find useful: 3 Figures 🖼️ + 5 Questions 🤔
