Following his escape Robles is now charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, burglary of a habitation and burglary with intent to commit another felony.

Robles was serving a sentence for a number of crimes out of Bexar County, including at least one violent offense, aggravated robbery.

When another inmate escaped a different camp onsite in October the TDCJ told ABC13 the camps house non-violent offenders.

Update: 33-year-old Kiddany Robles who briefly escaped an Angleton TDCJ prison camp last weekend is now facing several charges for allegedly taking a man hostage and holding him at gunpoint while free. Authorities made no mention of the incident until @abc13houston inquired.

Hollins also says it was "improper for the Mayor" to have Council to vote on the refunding bonds without his approval. He is asking an item be placed on Council's agenda with both his and the Mayor's approval for another vote "to properly authorize the issuance of the bonds.".

NEW: @CGHollins has certified the firefighter's deal. This means Houston City Council will be able to vote on it tomorrow. Council passed the refunding bonds 14-3 last week, so the understanding is the deal will pass.

Hollins estimates the deal will cost the city approximately $1.5 billion. Last week he told me, “ It’s something that we take seriously because my kids are still gonna be paying for this when they’re taxpaying adults.”.

If Hollins does not certify the agreements, they are not placed on Council’s agenda, meaning Council cannot vote on them.

“If we don’t receive an answer, then we can’t move,” Hollins said. Whitmire’s office tells me they’re crafting responses currently.

Last week, he declined to certify the agreements. He said his office had not been given enough time to review them. Today he told me his office just completed their first level review of the agreements and sent questions over to Mayor John Whitmire’s Office.

This is ridiculous. I worked with Carlos @fox7austin. Like the rest of their team, he is kind and professional. The fact he is sitting in jail for having done nothing but his job is an embarrassment and waste of public resources.

Texas AG Ken Paxton is given PTI in securities fraud case. Case reset for 18 months. He is required to complete 100 hours of community service in Collin Co., pay ~$300k restitution, and complete 15 hours of legal ethics ed. If he meets these conditions charges will be dismissed.

Multiple sources close to the investigation confirm with @abc13houston that Rivera had been in Mexico for several days. He was crossing back into the US from Mexico when apprehended. CBP has not responded to request for comment.
