I was happy to speak in favour of @tm_kavanagh's motion to effecively cancel the Tewin development. This project was sold as "reconcilliation" and "sustainable growth" but it's nothing but. Tewin was never about good planning but always about lining the pockets of Taggart.
@SamHersh01 "Of course Ottawa needs more housing, urgently", says Hersh. But Tewin means paving over farmland and extending pipes and roads to an extent we can't afford. Ottawa has more than enough greenfield land, Hersh says. We can easily meet targets through sustainable development.
