Result 3b: Interestingly, though, when we look at the level of specific outlets, this association is mostly driven by the *under*performance of top high-quality outlets (nytimes, wsj, washpo, reuters, usatoday) rather than overperformance of low-quality outlets

Result3: Lower-quality news domain links get more engagement than higher-quality news domain links on ALL platforms-even left-leaning platforms like BlueSky, and those w/o ranking alg like Mastodon @sinanaral & co classic finding generalizes broadly! (same using impressions on X)

Result 2: We observe *echo-platforms* rather than right-wing advantage Right-leaning news domains receive more engagement on platforms where most links are right-leaning; left-leaning news domains receive more engagement on platforms where most links are left-leaning

Result 1b: Overall, neutral news is more common than partisan news, and high-quality news is more common than low-quality news. (These plots normalize within each platform; dominance of high-quality news is even stronger without normalization)
