On this day in 1864, American troops murdered over 200 Cheyenne and Arapaho people living peacefully along Sand Creek in Colorado despite assuring the community days earlier that they would be safe. https://t.co/Hthss1beE0

@LongTimeHistory An officer meant to protect the public launches his car into a second floor, leaves a woman critically injured, then walks away with a court slip⦠this isnāt a crash story, itās a system that believes accountability is for citizens, not its own. #DemsUnited

My close friend has been a comedian in California for 17 years. She said EVERYBODY knew Louis CK was sexually harassing and assaulting women. He was so powerful he just was shutting everyone up and blacklisting people at whim. He should be shunned from public life
When a cancelled performer reĆ«nters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art theyāve ever made. With his new comedy show and dĆ©but novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar? https://t.co/HMx2UKz8Wb

@Lamplighter_UK People are putting themselves at risk by reporting, considering the conduct of the police. From breaching peoples data, to prosecuting victims of crime who complain about a poor police response.

@lovewins11011 People feel like victims because...they actually were victims. Most bystanders don't want to empathize with that, don't want to imagine "it could happen to them too", so a cheap and easy way out is to blame the victim for their failure to change their "mentality"

@Anne_Arbor Someone who helps/allows the main abuser to continue to abuse. Involve making excuses for the abuse, siding with the abuser, ignoring what's happening, or protecting a group or family instead of the victim. Even though they aren't the main abuser, they still hurt the victim.

A colonizer is always angry, because a colonizer is always guilty. A colonizer is always violent, because a colonizer is always afraid. A colonizer is always angry and afraid because a colonizer is never home. - Lately I started getting words for it, this colonizer

"One can speak of a whole history of ādefensive colonialismā: a colonialism imagined by the colonists as a form of defence that extends all the way to the more recent invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan."

Your quality of life matters as much as their needs, expectations, or preferences. For that matter, your needs, expectations, & preferences matter as much as their needs, expectations, & preferences. Really.

@AlboMP We live in a kakistocracy, just look at the absolute criminal scum running everyone's lives. Non-stop lies, gaslighting, hollowing out a once free and prosperous nation.

Wrong again. Until people realize that GOVERNMENT is not an altruistic institution but a criminal organization, nothing will ever change. The illusion is the system itself.
Until we recognize and acknowledge the #TwoPartyIllusion, nothing will truly change.

The overt criminality of the US government is in part a middle finger to Americans, telling us, āthereās nothing here worth saving. We hate you, and weāll take everything we want from you, and thereās nothing you can do about it.ā There. Is. Plenty. You. Can. Do. About. It.

As a blatant lie, this also reveals how policing is key tool for gentrification/displacement: NYPD's discriminatory policing works to justify rich white folks colonizing NYC as *progress* while expelling Black/Brown, immigrant, poor folks whose protest marks them as "out of here"
An emotional ā¦@NYPDChiefofDeptā© tells ā¦@JoshEiniger7ā© that itās time to get the agitators āout of hereā - āfrom California, from all over this country, who are being paid to take this movement, which is a good movement, and turn it into violence.ā ā¦@ABC7NYā©
