Good, but grim, reading. The TV show pretty much speed ran in the first 50 pages then 500 more of detail.

Broke out the old Huawei P20 Pro and found nearest physical phone store to get a new physical SIM and all back in action for now at least. Not super thrilled the #Pixel8Pro couldnt handle brief immersion.

Whilst the digital detox was lovely, what wasn't great was trying to recover accounts with 2FA requiring SMS to a phone no longer capable of receiving SMS (eSIM rip) or using an authenticator app on a phone which only has signal for 10 mins randomly a day!.

Pro tip to add drama to your holiday, make sure both of you break your phones on the first morning by submerging in sea water briefly.
