📢 I am on the economic job market 🚀. My JMP "Algorithmic and Human Collusion" shows pricing algorithms can be more collusive than humans and explores their interaction. Link: Other research: . #EconTwitter #EconJM #JMP.

You gotta love German academia. Receiving a letter (yes, an actual letter, not an email) many, many months after applying just to tell you that you won't be considered for the professorship is always quite the experience.

We find that remote workers' willingness to volunteer for team tasks does not decline in the team size. This is a surprising result, given classic free-riding concerns. Many decide to volunteer when they believe others will too, even though this can lead to too much volunteering.

So happy to see this in print! What began as my Master’s thesis in Bonn 7 years ago is now published in Experimental Economics. With @AdrianExpEcon & @soclgy . 📜

Does anyone know a paper that specifically looks at the share of online samples (Prolific, MTurk, etc.) relative to lab studies/field studies in recent years? I feel like I saw some stats on that sometime ago on X, but I can’t find it.

Nur weil es jetzt woanders schlechter läuft, bietet das deutsche akademische System nicht plötzlich Top-Bedingungen. Die strukturellen Probleme sind massiv. Das darf nicht von der Reformnotwendigkeit ablenken.

Love it! Pasted the complaint into Gemini to explain it to me, and it started by assuming that this is a fictional scenario.

Happy to be flying back to Berlin next week, but proud to be visiting an institution with the courage to stand its ground and fight back.

Love the idea of Google's Flow tool, but the scene builder seems quite buggy. It always glitches when trying to extend or jump to a scene.

We're ending Britain's open borders experiment. For too long, businesses were actively encouraged to bring in lower paid workers, rather than invest in our own people. We’re fixing the system and restoring control to our borders. Here’s how. Thread👇

Being in Philly for the #IIOC2025 reminds me how much my connection to US history comes entirely from American movies. Looking at Independence Hall, all I can picture is Nicolas Cage sprinting across the roof in National Treasure.

100% this 👇. That is why it is so crucial to consider, at a minimum, robustness to open-weight/source models. Some editors / reviewers are starting to request this, and I think that is good, and more journals should do it.

Again, I think academics have perhaps not quite groked what this sort of wholesale removal of a model means for replication in science. This isn’t versioned or downloadable, and you won’t be able to recreate it.
