Can’t say enough the positive attention Audi and @CycloneWBB has brought Iowa State and our entire area. Worth so much more investment than they receive.

I wish the Division I Board luck in "exploring fair ways to hold accountable institutions electing to not follow the rules that they have supported." Such a policy never works, because practically every institution is then "deserving" of punishment.
NCAA Board of Directors sent this memo to member schools today on eligibility standards, saying that coaches and administrators who are encouraging eligibility lawsuits for their players are "undermining the very rules their schools have voted to approve and abide by."

Really interesting to watch college sports enter a new era of innovation and investment. Moves like this can open the door for smarter long-term growth across the entire ecosystem. The more conferences start thinking like businesses, the more important it becomes to make sure
The UC Investments deal with the Big Ten Conference seems to be getting close, and could mark one of the most significant financial moments in college sports history. Big Ten executives are reportedly preparing to hold a vote on a 20-year, $2.4 billion agreement, even if two of

The 22% cap functions like wage-fixing, which would be illegal in almost any other industry. Schools and collectives are very frustrated because they want to pay their non-football athletes more but now have to find ways around the cap to do it. It just creates extra work for
IMO the biggest question that the 2nd Circuit will have to decide re the #HouseVsNCAA appeals: Does the 22% cap on revenue sharing violate the rule of reason standard such that the cap is an illegal restraint of trade? Curious if some great @X want to weigh in?

I never want to hear a single complaint from anyone at these schools about athlete compensation. Not now, not ever.
College football buyouts have hit nearly $185M this season. • Brian Kelly (LSU), $53M • James Franklin (Penn State), $49.7M • Billy Napier (Florida), $21.2M • Hugh Freeze (Auburn), $15.4M • Mike Gundy (OSU), $15M • Sam Pittman (Arkansas), $9.8M • DeShaun Foster (UCLA)

This week, the NCAA admitted the truth: Its eligibility rules keep getting struck down in court, and it has no idea what it's doing anymore. But there's a twist. By allowing G League players, is the NCAA building an antitrust defense? #NIL newsletter 👇 https://t.co/AbiUFP8hzv

The Weekly Longer NIL Thought. The NCAA released a statement this week that reads less like policy guidance and more like a white flag wrapped in bureaucratic language.

The NCAA once tried to cap assistant basketball coaches salaries and got sued to oblivion, but sure.
NEW: Per @RepBaumgartner's new bill, the COACH Act, the annual pay of @LSUfootball's next boss would max out at $278,760. Baumgartner tells @Sportico, "There is no greater societal benefit to have a coach make $10 million versus $200,000." More👇 https://t.co/BGDUC0oOKX

A few months ago, I joined UNC tennis player Reese Brantmeier to speak to congressional staffers about the SCORE Act and what it means for college athletes. Hearing her story firsthand as a current athlete made it even clearer how broken the system is. Athletes like Reese who
UNC 🎾 player Reese Brantmeier’s class action against the NCAA is set for a Nov 2, 2026 trial. She’s challenging NCAA rules that limit the amount of prize💰tennis players can accept from non-collegiate tournaments. While limited to 🎾, the case could have broad implications.

As predicted, a WA state court has enjoined NCAA eligibility rules in Tyon Grant-Foster’s case. He’ll able to play for Gonzaga tonight & presumably the rest of the season while the case is pending. The NCAA’s on a losing streak in these cases, think that’s 4 or 5 in a row.
Understandably emotional scene inside the courtroom as Tyon Grant-Foster gets the preliminary injunction granted, allowing him to play for #Gonzaga this season.
