I would've done anything to get out of rugby at school. My son isn't keen either, so I suppose I should be proud of him for managing to be allergic to cold. Epipens, 'n all.

Commander Piers out of suspended animation after 36 years... And the purchase of a cassette recorder from ebay.

I assumed it was the soldering on the top board, 'cos squeezing the computer made MODE 7 go wonky.

Finally twigged the reason my Acorn Electron would only reliably power on after a good thud was due to my soldering when I was 15. Resoldered them all and... no screen output, but the computer worked (*motor, ctrl-g, sound -1,-15,x,y...)... Multimetered & touched up and perfect!

Just watched Doctor Who’s 50th, on a 3D telly, ten years late. 3D is really cool, just like my new found cubing skills. 1m9s. Yay, me. I bought the telly back in 2010 'cos I made our (SVG) browser render stereoscopic 3D. Fun times.

Because it’s the 1980s again, I’ve learnt how to solve the cube. But all the 2x2 tutorials say that it’s easy once you can do the 3x3, but I can’t figure out how to reliably do the top layer.

Þverfellshorn! Mount Esja. Perfect weather for it today, so path from Steinn to the top was surprisingly simple.

Nice warm Friday afternoon playing @mattgodbolt's Sega Master emulator in @FlowBrowser on the Pi400. jQuery 1.5.1 was convinced we were IE, so all I had to do was fix HTMLInputElement.clone(). https://t.co/6jexlTUE9M

Fun fun, and already been useful for debugging Flow - @Modernizr can generate its code straight into @CodePen so easy to determine why it thinks we don't support something we ought.
New in Flow 6.11: - Support for @CodePen's editor. Most of CodePen itself renders correctly, though Pens vary. - SVG Markers, plus many previously-missing SVG interfaces. - CSS transition support for CSS filters. - Numerous CSS grid fixes.

My 1983 computer book predicts 'soon' grown ups will be able to work from home and send messages around the world, and children will be able to go to school in their own living room. My central computer will be able to alter lighting and switch on the television. What nonsense.

Finished Repton, twice in one game! Then Sidewinder got me on the third run through. 98,748, sadly not over 100k.

Merry Christmas. Let’s hope 2023 is the year where new browsers start to feel more like real browsers.

Pleasantly surprised to see that Apple Pages is effectively an SVG app. I've always thought SVG was underused on the interwebs.

Unusual to find a website totally block http requests if it dislikes the useragent. It appears to be trying to strictly parse our attempt to claim FF likeness (that we have for Google), and fail.
