#MimulusPropaganda The invincible @_MeeiLLL strikes again. She found the speciation gene in monkeyflowers, YUP, is a taxon-specific non-coding gene producing phased siRNAs. YUP derived from a partial inverted duplication of a source gene that has nothing to do with flower color.
