The Patriots had WR Samuel Emilus (Louisiana Tech), DB Carthell Flowers-Lloyd (Stony Brook), LB Gary Johnson (Texas), RB Tyreik McAllister (Charleston/WVa.) and LB Josh Woods (UCLA) in for free-agent workouts. Perhaps the possibility of "future" contracts/2024 in mind.
