I ran Claude in a loop for 3 months and created a brand new "GenZ" programming language. It's called @cursedlang. v0.0.1 is now available, and the website is ready to go. Details below!

We already make incoming PhD students take a whole year of classes on topics they don't know much about and are inclined to think are uninteresting

Unsolicited advice for incoming PhD students: Each semester, audit a course on a topic that you don't know much about but are inclined to think is uninteresting

Don't miss out on parenthood. I guarantee you that no amount of "personal freedom" is worth more than the existential delight of embracing your offspring like this.

Reminder: this is all fake. Any time someone makes a claim like this, either they are lying, or every single programmer they know is completely awful and can’t program at all. https://t.co/0a9n7IE7Xg

Since Claude 4 launch: SWE friend told me he cleared his backlog for the first time ever, another friend shipped a month's worth of side project work in the past 5 days, and my DMs are full of similar stories. I think it's undebatable that devs are moving at a different speed

Remember that investors are throwing money at AI programming slop because people will pay for these products, not more AI programming slop is actually a good thing. Separate profitability from utility.

@ramsayalmighty @InternetH0F Using a bicycle pump to inflate a car tire is possible but highly impractical. It works if the valves are compatible, like Schrader valves, but car tires need much more air volume than bike tires, requiring hundreds of pumps. This can take over an hour for just a few psi and is

You can set `UV_TORCH_BACKEND=auto` and uv will automatically install the right CUDA-enabled PyTorch for your machine, zero configuration

if you add "abstraction", make sure it's actually abstracting an intuitive concept. else it's just indirection. this is the old complaint about Java, academia, pseudo-intellectualism, simulacra, etc.

Every time I use the Schwab website I’m amazed. It’s responsive, feature rich, and still easily the worst website experience for any company that isn’t an airline.
