That's insane!
In 1998, @halfin gave a talk titled "A zero-knowledge proof of possession of a pre-image of a SHA-1 hash". He proved in 40 mins 1 SHA1 call. 25 years later, we proved in 8 days 1.6 million SHA256 calls for Bitcoin's first zk-client https://t.co/I1lrNwyAZW

The sooner statelessness comes to Ethereum, the sooner we can empower more people to run a full node from hardware they already have (e.g. staking from your phone). This will be a big win not only by improving decentralization, but also unlocking future areas of key R&D. /7

Agree completely with this report from my old firm @McKinsey. As data and compute requirements explode, domain-specific architectures (DSAs) will be required to pair with or replace general purpose architectures. @mattocko @AndrewDARMACAP @menaisser

The daily @danboneh: All it took to take ZKP from impractical to practical was one breakthrough idea Itβs in the GGPR paper, which turned proving time from quadratic in the size of the computation to quasi linear

I like this trend of shifting to STARK-based proof systems. I especially like keeping hardware in mind when designing new systems. Together we can achieve groundbreaking results!
@kobigurk @zksync Both Plonky2 and Boojum are implementations of RedShift (Plonk + FRI). We borrowed some dope ideas from Plonky2, but did many things differently (see README). At the end, Boojum is more than an order of magnitude faster (see @CelerNetwork's benchmarks). https://t.co/k93qYyZW8B

I spent the last week building a dApp on every ZK-EVM. I tested out Polygon, Linea, Scroll, Taiko, Era and more, documenting every step of the process. Here's everything I learned:

Ethereum co-founder believes in order for Bitcoin to become more than just another payment layer, it needs to experiment with layer 2 solutions like ZK roll-ups.

I fully agree with this, and with what Moxie wrote. Yes, people doing really stupid unprofessional things should be called out. But thatβs very different from subtle attacks on systems that are built seriously with great effort to be secure. We should clearly distinguish these.
The Nova implementation was broken coz its a readable paper, it was clear which part was left unspecified, the implementation is intelligible and easy to reverse/understand. Good stuff attracts attacks. Look at Signal and what @moxie had to say on that https://t.co/Ieq5mq9z3H
